ANOTHER LEAGUE TITLE WON & THE ALL IRELAND CUP WINNERS CUP
Our under 15 Premier team won the clubs 7th All Ireland Cup Winners Cup when they defeated Linfield FC the Northern Ireland SFA cup winners 3-1 at the Lurgan arena.
This trophy is added to the DDSL league title and to the SFAI cup win of three weeks ago and they just missed out on a season clean sweep losing narrowly in the DDSL Menton Cup a few weeks ago.
The Lurgan game marked the final game of coach Fred Costa’s time at SKFC. We thank him for his immense contribution to the teams successes and wish him well in his future career.
Our under 12 Premier team added another DDSL league title for the club at the weekend to go with their victory in the DDSL Tom Kavanagh last month.
Our 13.6 Sunday team – who made it a DDSL double by winning the Matty Langan Cup – and our 14.1 Sunday team who won their league last week after being runners up in the DDSL O’Neills Cup earlier this month.
Two more league titles were added last night with wins for our 12.1 Sunday who followed up their cup win at under 11 last season with a clear cut league win this season and our 15 Saturday Premier team who added the DDSL league title to the SFAI cup win of three weeks ago and who just missed out on a season treble losing narrowly in the DDSL Menton Cup a few weeks ago.
They were also successful in the 14 Premier league last year and this Saturday they play in the Subway All Ireland Cup Winners Cup against the Northern Ireland SFA cup winners Linfield FC at the Lurgan arena.
Hopefully one or two more league titles will come our way in the coming weeks.
