2 SFAI FINAL WINS
Our under 15 Premier team were the first team into action in their SFAI Cup final against Templeogue United and keen to put last weeks defeat in the DDSL Menton Cup final behind them and go one better in a national cup final than they did last year when they lost to Mount Merrion FC in the under 14 final.
That they achieved in convincing fashion running out emphatic winners 5-0 with goals from Cole Dillon, Zac Healy Earlston Nyantakyi and two from Daniel Holton.
They now turn their attention to their remaining league games and the chance to complete the double.
Next up were Rob Doran’s under 13 Premier side in the SFAI Trophy final against Ashbourne United. This was a much closer contest than the first game but three superb goals – the first from Jack Moore having been put through by Faith Dawson then a smashing header from Faith herself, and a 25 yard drive from Rio Devlin was enough to record a 3-1 win
Unfortunately our 16 Premier squad who dominated their tie and had lots of chances to win convincingly were caught by a Duleek equaliser in injury time their SFAI Trophy final and with extra time failing to produce any further scoring they went down in the resulting penalty shoot out.
They are still in contention for the DDSL under 16 Premier league and hopefully their remaining games will see them clinch the title.
