Good Start To The Season For AUL Section.. Tuesday Game Deferred

St Kevins Boys – 5

Trinity Donaghmede – 1

Our 1st team started the season with an emphatic 5-1 away win over Trinity Donaghmede at Father Collins Park last Friday night.

The home side went one up through Michael Mooney on 25 minutes but were then pegged back through young debutante Ciaran Nolan scoring his first senior goal  before Trinity Donaghmede were reduced to ten men.

Martin Doyle’s side then cranked up the pressure as Nolan added his second of the game to put the visitors ahead before Graham Raynor made it 3-1, Stephen Cantwell added the fourth before Trinity were reduced to nine men. Bobby O’Reilly scored the fifth and sealed an impressive first victory of the season for St Kevins Boys.

Tuesday’s away fixture against Sandyhill/Shangan has been put back to Friday night – 6-45pm Coultry Park.

Our Senior Saturday side also got off to a good start at the weekend where they were a little unfortunate to concede a late own goal thus denying them full points in a 3-3 draw against Sheriff YC, Stephen Doyne and a double from Keith Rooney were the SKB scorers.
