BOSUN LAWEL JOINS THE SKFC SENIOR INTERNATIONAL CLUB – NUMBER 14

Many congratulations are extended tonight to ex-SKFC player Bosun Lawel who made his full senior international debut when coming on in the second half of the 0-0 draw with North Macedonia at the Aviva Stadium and acquitting himself very well in his half hour on the pitch and no doubt this will be the first of many more appearances on the international stage.

His name is now forever in the records alongside the other twelve SKFC players – Liam Brady, Ian Harte, Alan Maybury, Stephen Carr, Damien Duff, Robbie Brady, Jeff Hendrick, Jack Byrne, Dara O’Shea, Evan Ferguson, Jimmy Dunne and Killian Phillips – who have represented Ireland at the highest level and Kathelgo Mashigo who played international football for South Africa.

Bosun came to St Kevin’s as a ten year old from Corduff FC and developed into a fine all round mobile player as he graduated through the ages with some very very good SKFC teams which included under the guidance of some of the best coaches and managers in the club.

Along with with winning numerous SFAI, DDSL leagues and cup honours he went on to represent the DDSL in the Kennedy Cup and gain International cap at all underage levels which culminated in tonight’s memorable achievement.

Well done Bosun and well done to all who helped you on your journey so far!!
