FORMER SKFC PLAYERS ON THE MOVE
Congratulations and good luck to former SKFC player David Okagbue who has swapped the red of Walsall FC for the blue of
Peterborough United in a transfer completed yesterday which sees him move up to League 1 for the coming season.
At 21 years of age he has nearly 100 appearances made in the EFL and this move will be the next step on the ladder for him to
achieve his potential at the highest level.
Also on the move is Evan Ferguson who has moved to top Serie A club Roma on loan from Brighton to try and re-ignite his top class career – best of luck to him.
Goalkeeper Josh Keeley has moved from Leyton Orient – where he was on loan from Spurs – to Luton Town in a permanent transfer.
Sean Grehan will start this new season at Doncaster Rovers following his transfer from Bohemians where he was on loan from Crystal Palace.
Posh boss Darren Ferguson said: “David is a player we have been keeping an eye on for a little while. He is at a good age with lots of room for improvement and development.
“What he will add is pace and physicality to our defensive unit, which is something I was looking for, and he has good experience of playing a whole season with Walsall in League Two.
“He came through the ranks at Stoke City, so (Posh coach) Kevin Russell knows him very well. I see a lot of potential in the boy. He is not the finished article, but he is never going to be at the age of 21.
“He is an exciting young player we are excited to work with, but he has the added bonus of raw pace and physicality.”
