DDSL CUP FINAL WINS FOR 12’s & 13’s
Congratulations to our under 12 premier team and to our under 13.6 squad who were the bright spots on an otherwise disappointing day at the DDSL Cup finals in the AUL Complex.
The 12’s took control of the DDSL Tom Kavanagh Cup final from the first whistle against Shamrock Rovers and were a goal up inside 45 seconds through Max Glogowski he added another soon after and they were 3 up when Jake Nolan scored.
Rovers pulled one back and had the chance to get another when the referee awarded them a penalty and added insult to injury by red carding Logan Blanche in the incident but Senan Kelly pulled off a brilliant stop from the spot kick and even with 8 players they saw the remaining 15 minutes out comfortably and added a forth goal through Charlie Nolan.
Hopefully the good form continues and the squad go on to complete a league and cup double in the next few weeks.

Despite facing a team who are going well in a division above them the 13.6 team under the management of Graham Mooney, Mark Somers and Patrick Rattigan completed their own League and Cup double this evening when they defeated a fancied Broadford Rovers side 3-0 to add the DDSL Matty Landan Cup to their League title that they clinched last week.
They totally dominated this game from start to finish and were 3 up at half time through Charlie McEntee and two goals from Trayvon Akahomen and they had many more chances throughout to add to the score line.
There was disappointment for the 12 Major 1 team who came from behind to level against Cherry Orchard in the Tony Ryan Cup final and the game looked like heading for extra time but the concession of two injury time goals was a harsh reflection of the game overall.
Both the 14 and 15 premier teams suffered narrow defeats – 1-0 and 2-1 – respectively in their finals.
The 14 Sunday 1 cup final will take place next week – date and time to be confirmed.
