Information on Girl’s football

ST Kevin’s FC Girls Open Training Sessions

Following tonights very successful and well attended series of trials and assessments for young girls, St. Kevin’s FC are in a position to significantly increase the number of girls teams that will represent the club in league football this coming season starting in September.
We will be holding further open assessment and trials for the season 2024 / 25 for girls on Wednesday July 10th.
Many of our squads are near completion but we especially would like to hear from some more girls born in 2012 and 2015 as well as those ages listed below.
Time; At 6pm to 7pm for girls born in the years 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Time; At 7.15pm to 8.15pm for girls born in the years 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
All of our coaches in the girls section are female and hold FAI coaching qualifacations but we would like to hear from other coaches who would like to get involved with us.

All assessments next Wednesday will take place at the SKFC clubhouse astro at Larkhill Road Whitehall D09 WE09.
PLAYERS SHOULD CHECK IN TO THE VENUE 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE ASSESSMENT START TIME.

FAI Cadbury Kick Fit programme

The FAI Cadbury Kick Fit programme is a fun and non-competitive recreational social programme for women 18+, with no experience necessary. The aim of this programme is to keep fit and create a social group.

U7 Non Competitive Blitz

Great u7 non competitive blitz in wards cross today with Crumlin utd, Shelbourne, Swords celtic and us.
50 kids got loads of football.
Each team played 6 games all done in 2 hours.
Each child went home with a goody bag and a smile super day for all

Fund Raiser for an Astro pitch

Please support one of our local schools if you can.
To raise funds for an Astro pitch, we are holding a 24 hour staff spinathon at the school starting at 1 pm on Friday, the 14th of June and finishing at 1 pm on Saturday the 15th.
Former Dublin superstar and past pupil Tommy Drumm will begin the cycle and soccer legend Liam Brady who is also a past pupil will finish the cycle.

Dates For Heart Screening For SKFC Players / Staff

Vidacare is a company that specialises in heart and health monitoring.

They are the main sponsor of our U16 Premier team.

Tomorrow (Nov 25th) they start the first of their screening days at SKFC. This session is almost fully booked out.

There are some appointments available on their second visit on December 9th.

They have kindly offered a special price of €50 to all of our teams in relation to heart screening/monitoring.

We would recommend any teams over the age of 15 to avail of this service.

DDSL Coaching Course In January

The DDSL through their Head Coach Barry Ferguson are looking at putting on some Coach Education for players who are over 16 years of age on the 6th January 2024.

There will be a PDP 1 Coaching course on the 6th January and a Safeguarding 1 online on an evening (TBC) the week before.

The venue will be Abbotstown.

This will allow players the opportunity to Volunteer at their club and gain experience coaching whilst also receiving a qualification that can allow them to work and earn money at different times of year in summer camps etc.

The fee, if there is one will be nominal.
