STATEMENT

St. Kevin’s Football Club  Senior Section.

It is with great reluctance and regret that St Kevin’s Football Club has decided not to proceed with teams in senior football in the Leinster Senior League with immediate effect.

Despite our best effort’s we have not been able to recruit enough players who can commit to us at this level, and we were unable to identify personnel of sufficient calibre willing to manage these teams despite interviewing numerous candidates who for their own reasons were not in a position to accept the roles.

We have tried to work through these issues over the past two months in a bid to start the season, while accepting there weren’t any guarantees that we could ever do so.

Rather than further delay the inevitable we are making the decision now so as to let those players who had committed to us time to find other clubs’ and we thank them for their patience and the loyalty shown to the club at this difficult time.

St. Kevin’s Football Club would like to place on record our sincere thanks to all of our past senior managers, coaches, players, administrators and supporters who over the years gave a huge amount of dedication and commitment in order for SKFC to play and compete at senior level.

We apologise that we are unable to continue the good work that was put in over the years by so many good people but promise that we will regroup to once again return to play in the Leinster Senior League at senior level.
